Clinical Effect Of Plasma Exchange In Patients With Rheumatoid Artritis
ثبت نشده
چکیده
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic systemic connective tissue disease with multiple organ impairment and unknown aetiology. Rheumatoid arthritis leads to activation of immune processes and formation of abnormal antibodies. They participate in antigen-antibody complexes and accumulate in various tissues (mainly in synovial tissue). The removal of circulating complexes through plasmapheresis (PP) has good clinical effect (elimination of the nodules in RA). The aim of the study is to monitor the clinical effect and to establish the clinical changes after plasma exchange (PE) in patients with RA. PP achieves immunomodulation but it is necessary to continue the supporting cytostatic therapy to avoid the so called rebound effect.

Efficacy of Rituximab in the Treatment of Plasma Exchange Refractory Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura
Background: Rituximab can induce a durable remission in plasma exchange refractory thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP). Timing of Rituximab infusion in combination with plasma exchange (PE) and long term follow-up for probable side effects of such treatment is still lacking. Methods: This study was conducted among 10 patients with plasma exchange refractory TTP. According to the study de...
متن کاملInvestigation of the plasma levels of CCL-17 and CCL-25 and their receptor gene expression in rheumatoid arthritis patients
Background and Aim: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune inflammatory disease of unknown etiology. The chemokines and their related receptors have a pivotal role in migration and homing of leukocyte involved in the pathogenesis of RA. The goal of this study was to measure the plasma levels of CCL-17 and CCL-25 and their receptors gene (CCR4 and CCR9) expression in rheumatoid arthritis pa...
متن کامل[The B cell in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis].
Classically, B-cells have been considered to play a secondary role in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid artritis, restricted to the production of auto-antibodies. Nevertheless, the unexpected good clinical response that the systemic depletion of B-cells has demonstrated in a well-controlled clinical trial in patients with rheumatoid artritis has revitalized the interest in this cell type in the pa...
